NetStream’s IPFax service gives your business the ability to receive incoming faxes via email. Beyond convenience, this service ensures the privacy of your communications. You can also economically bundle this service with the many other productivity-enhancing features you receive from NetStream’s hosted PBX services.
How IPFax Works
When you sign up for the IPFax service, you are assigned a DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number that can mimic the tones of a fax. When a fax machine dials the phone number corresponding to the IPFax DID number, the proper signals are sent to the fax machine to allow the fax transmission. The transmission is then converted into a PDF file, attached to an email and sent to your designated inbox.
IPFax is a convenient, cost-effective and secure service that enables your business to:
| • |
Receive faxes directly in your email account |
| |
| • |
Read your faxes in the privacy of your email account |
| |
| • |
Archive emailed faxes electronically, creating easier filing and documentation |
| |
| • |
Forward emailed faxes to multiple parties with the touch of a button |
| |
| • |
Receive up to 150 incoming pages for a modest monthly recurring fee |
Because NetStream is connected to local CLECs (phone companies), you can preserve a consistent and professional image with a fax number in the area code of your choice, and port your existing fax number (as well as the existing E-FAX number) to our network. Also, you can bundle IPFax as part of our larger Hosted PBX service that includes VoIP phone service, nationwide and international long distance and a full suite of other productivity-enhancing features.
